The time has come to begin our second annual TechFlash Cup competition, an exciting time where you get to meet some of the most exciting companies that are growing right here in our area.
The live pitch competition already had anincredible line-up of judges, and now we are excited to announce the 10 companies who will be competing to show off their innovations.
TechFlash Cup culminates in a live-pitch competition on Nov. 3 at the Triple Door where the top six companies will pitch to the judges and receive instant feedback. The judges will then choose a winner.
Before that, though, we will be publishing profiles and articles about all of the companies and what they think of Seattle's startup ecosystem.
Five of the companies that advance to the live-pitch will be chosen by the judges, and the last will be audience choice. Starting Monday, all of the startups will start competing in an online vote-getting competition to try to garner the most public support.
Last year's winner, Apptentive, recently announced a $5 million funding round led in part by one of the company's partners, Survey Monkey.
This year we have companies who want to help get food on your table, a device that will make sure you never lose your keys again, an app that plans your next vacation for you and a bra that has a little pocket for your phone.
Click on the slideshow in the upper right to find out which 10 local companies the judges chose for the 2014 TechFlash Cup, stay tuned for several weeks of startup coverage, and come check out the live-pitch event Nov. 3.
